Work Experience |
Present - Sanders Wacker Bergly, Inc. Project
Manager responsible for the management of a wide range of projects including
planning, parks and recreation development/improvement, downtown
revitalization, landscape architecture, urban design/historic preservation as
well as environmental services.
1997 - Present - Korby-Weiser -
President/Owner Job duties include: planning, design, building,
construction and development of commercial and municipal properties; planning
project for transportation enhancement in Barron County; construction of an
airport hangar; sale of resort motel and 40 acre development and other
developments in Barron County. 1983 - 1997 - Cooper Engineering
1995 - 1997 Director of Marketing and Special Assistant to the
President. Duties included: development and execution of a marketing plan;
development of marketing concepts; oversight of development of prospect and
client lists; identification of prospective clients; assurance that existing
clients were maintained and customer satisfaction remained high. 1983 -
1995 - Project Manager. Duties included management of projects to
maintain client satisfaction and success of projects; direction of project to
assure compliance with all specifications, timelines and cost standards. Served
as Project Manager on the City of Rice Lake and City of Superior Airport
Projects.
1973 - 1983 - Lampert Yards Project Manager. Duties
included: management of building new home center buildings in three states.
Built 23 centers in 10 years; supervision of large developments for the
company.

Project experience |
Mr. Korby has managed numerous construction projects
including street, curb and gutter, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, watermain
improvement and building. Many of these and other projects required
coordination of land acquisition. Currently, Mike is working with the City of
Rice Lake on their Cedar Side Trail project. He also served as Project Manager
on the City of Rice Lake and City of Superior Airport Projects. With the Barron
County Transportation Coordination Committee, Mr. Korby worked to enhance the
county-wide transportation program options for the residents. As a certified
real estate broker and salesperson, he has been involved in the sale of
commercial real estate.
Mr. Korby has been involved with the Wisconsin
Highway Department in District 8 as well as in Madison. His association with
the Transportation Development Association since 1985 has allowed him the
opportunity to work closely with all aspects of the various programs that
county and other governmental agencies make use of in lobbying for additional
dollars to improve the transportation system, both at the congressional and
senate levels and also at the Federal Department of Transportation. He has
designed and constructed numerous highway projects at the state, county and
municipal levels. Mr. Korby is knowledgeable in design and specification for
construction and maintenance of highways and highway structures.
